I know I have been a little absent in the blog world. This time, no news is good news! We have been enjoying life to the fullest! Carter's brace came off of his legs on August 2nd. Since the brace came off, Carter has been standing with his walker. He has recently started crawling. He is all over the house, and we are loving it!!! We did find out that Carter will need to have another surgery this September. We were hoping it could wait a little longer, but unfortunately it can not. He will be having another spinal surgery, and he will have to lay on his stomach afterwards. Thankfully, it is not nearly as intense as the surgery he just went through. We should only have about a week hospital stay. Any Spinal surgery is a little scary, but we know God has got this.
Knowing that his days at home are limited, we have spent the past few weeks allowing Carter to enjoy life as much as possible. He went to the movies for the first time last week to watch Disney's Planes. He absolutely LOVED it, and he sat through the entire movie. It is hard to believe that Carter will be turning 3 on Tuesday. Brandon and I both decided that instead of a Birthday Party this year we would take him to the Global Wildlife Center in Louisiana. It was a great decision! Carter absolutely LOVED it!!!
Thank you all SO much for all of the continued prayers and love for our family. We are overly blessed! I will update more on Carter's upcoming surgery later. I want everyone to see how much Carter is loving life right now! Our God is great!!! As always... To Him be the Glory!!!

Mowing the grass with Daddy. He loves to point and tell Daddy where to cut next.

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephanian 3:17
Oh! How I have been waiting and praying for the next update. What good news!! What a well deserved reprieve for Carter. Always your family is in my prayers. The pictures are wonderful! Blessings :)
ReplyDeleteYay!! Glad y'all were able to get him out for awhile today for his early birthday present. Our God is an awesome God and He is sure showing His stuff with Carter. You have to wonder what some of Carter's doctors think when they say Carter won't be able to do something and then Carter shows them all that he can!! Blessings to all of you and, of course, continued prayers.
